Makeup Assignment


If you have a D or an E in this class, or in world cultures, please do one or both of the following assignments in order to raise your grade up one letter grade. Please also return this paper, your assignment, and the progress report SIGNED by your parents in order to receive the grade increase. This will be added in AFTER you do your final essay/project.

Science

7th Grade: Please write a 500-word essay explaining an experiment someone could do to determine whether a substance is a mixture or a compound. Include the independent and dependent variables, the procedure, your hypothesis, and the reason behind the experiment.

6th Grade: Please write a 500-word essay explaining how an animal’s need to adapt to its environment causes it to evolve. Use specific examples.


World Cultures

Please write a 500- word essay explaining how someone’s culture affects the way they behave and interact with other people. Use specific examples.

Makeup Projects!

In order to help students bring up their grades as we head into the home stretch of the year, I am providing makeup projects in addition to the projects we will be doing in class. I will update this page as I add more projects, but the seventh grade world cultures makeup project can currently be found on the classjump website.
